FAQs
What is VSF?
VSF is the Vassar Sustainable Investment Fund—a student-run investment fund. We manage about $50,000 of assets in cash and stocks. The club has around 30 members ranging from freshman to seniors, with an active alumni base.
What do you do?
We are seperated into a research team that creates quantitative and qualitative market commentary and an investment team that leverages VSF research to write and present stock pitches.
Who joins VSF?
Anyone! Whether you are certain you want to pursue a career in finance, or just a little curious about what “investing” even means, there is a place in the club for you.
What is the time commitment?
Whatever you make it. If you want to spend hours a week researching stocks and building and presenting pitches, you will have the support to do so. If you want to help out when you have a couple hours every couple weeks, we can make that work. Group leaders will check in with all members to make sure they are getting the opportunities they are looking for, when they are looking for them.
